1. Plato's Closet Their clothes look like targeting 20’s and 30’s. I gave them about 20 clothes and then they accepted two tops, one leggings. They gave me about 2-4 dollars per clothes. 2. Uptown I haven’t been there yet but I heard that they accept more clothes than Plato’s closet with cheaper price. 3.  Clothes Mentor Their style is for 30-50’s. So if your clothes are not formal look, It would be better to go to other stores. I went there but they passed all of my clothes

Preparing oral exam

After submitting written exam(proposal), the oral exam for presentation should be prepared. Here I wrote some tips when you prepare oral exam. 1. keep the time for presentation - The presentation time can be different by school and depts. In my case, I had to prepare 20-25 min of presentation with 20 slides. It can be short time considering you should present the introduction, method and results. As I wrote the background information in detail for proposal, I made  very brief and quick introduction to focus on explaining the experimental design and results. 2. Prepare the answers for the questions from committee member - It's important to guess which questions the committees are gonna ask. You can practice the presentation to your lab members or friends to get as many questions as possible. If you prepare the questions, you will not get stumped.

Scheduling qualifying exam

 Hi! Graduate students!  It's time to schedule your qualifying exam. In most schools, you should take qualifying exam on the second year in your program. In most case, you should take written exam first and then take oral exam. I listed several tips and example to schedule the qualifying exam. 1. You only need to schedule oral exam. You don't need to meet your committee members in person for written exam. For written exam, you can just send the proposal to committee members and then they will comment your writing.  According to the program you are taking, the written exam will be 2 or 3 weeks ahead of your written exam. So, you only need to schedule oral exam. 2. Schedule the oral exam 2-3 month ahead. The oral exam(presentation) will take more than 2 hours. It depends on your school or department tho.
